Prof grades unnecessarily hard on the case emails and takes points off for subjective things. Doesn't give revision opportunities like some professors do in GB360 and gives pretty vague criticisms despite taking large points off. Also I had assignments ungraded for 2 months.","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1286556","quality_rating":2,"difficulty_rating":2},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:19:01.986337+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTM4MjA2NDUw","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1286556","instructor_name":"Melanie Hoftyzer","course_label":"GBUS300","course_id":null,"course_uid":null,"review_date":"2023-09-06 20:31:17 +0000 UTC","comment":"Absolutely fantastic.","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1286556","quality_rating":5,"difficulty_rating":1},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:19:01.986337+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTM2MDM4NDE2","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1286556","instructor_name":"Melanie Hoftyzer","course_label":"GENBUS300","course_id":null,"course_uid":null,"review_date":"2022-04-07 17:58:07 +0000 UTC","comment":"The class sucks, but Melanie is a decent professor. There is a lot of homework, but no tests. 1 presentation and 1 business report you work on for the last month. The homework is easy and busy work mainly. There is a good amount of reading, but you can skim it for a talking point for discussions. You can miss 4 classes before your grade drops. It does not help that it is also in one of the most pointless classes I've taken. The final project for GB360 is a portfolio where you showcase your best work and revise it.
