This guy knows how to teach. I loved Matt, he made this class awesome. It was a ton of fun and we rarely used the book. Played a lot of games. He will definitely get you out of your comfort zone, but when you make mistakes speaking he's always nice about it. Do the homework, participate in class, and ask questions and you should get an A. Pretty much the perfect person to be teaching incoming freshman. He's personable, kind, and forgiving. He encourages his students to step outside their comfort zone and clearly cares for every single one of them. His class takes a lot of effort but is worth every minute!Rate My Professors ↗
Good Teacher. He taught how he wanted and by his own methods and worked great. I went abroad right after this class and felt much better prepared than other people who had finished their second semester of Russian. Highly Recommend. Amazing professor, could not have asked for a better instructor for First Semester Russian. This class is difficult and very time-consuming but Matt is extremely helpful and makes class fun.
