Bloss acts nice in person by telling jokes and giving out prizes during lecture, but the actual material is taught at an incredibly monotonous pace and doesn't explain concepts thoroughly. HW is long, tedious and doesn't help at all w/ overall understanding of material. Final was extremely difficult (52% median) and curve wasn't much help at all.Rate My Professors ↗

I thought he was a pretty chill guy, and the lectures were fine- he was just kind of held back by the early time slot. It's hard to pay attention already if you don't care about stats, so trying to do this tired is a bit challenging. His study guides are helpful. Maybe I just hate math, but I despised this class. Lectures were tedious and boring, you had to learn how to use R outside of class to use on the homework and then you don't get to use it on the exams, the homework is long and the exams are hard.Rate My Professors ↗

His rating shocks me. I assume these people hate stats and never talked to him, because despite an 8am power 2x a week, I found myself enjoying Dr. Bloss' class and coming nearly all the time (I even surprised myself with that).
