Mary's was probably one of my favorite lecturers in my first sem. She genuinely cares about her students and wants us to do well. Taking Mary's ESL116 is probably my best decision in freshman year. She is very caring and teaches in a relatively casual way. She is a little tough grading the tests, but she gives fantastic office hours. Talk to her after class and you will definitely learn a lot. She allows me to jump to 118 after this semester. She has interesting lectures. Mary gives detailed and helpful feedback on every homework. This course is time demanding and not an easy A class. But it is hard to get A if you finish all homework carefully. Try her class if you really want to improve your writing skill.Rate My Professors ↗
I'm a freshman in her ESL 118 class, I dropped another class for this, it was worth it. Mary is skilled, she cares about her students very much. All the students in her class became close friends at the end of semester. To be honest, I wanted to drop this class in the first month, because all of my grades were lower than 70. But after I talked to her, I just felt that I can be better in this class. She is such a nice lady, very very helpful! She is willing to help you get used to the study and life here and knows her students well.
