Martin was a great Prof. He was a little bit dry at times but I mean it's an insurance class so what did you expect? Overall, he tried to make the content interesting and applicable. His pop quizzes are easy as long as you listen in class (they are open book). Also his midterm and final were pretty good as long as you studied. Don't buy the tophat.Rate My Professors ↗

I was dreading summer classes. 150 minute lectures 4 days a week. But suprisingly, with martin halek, it wasnt that bad. He kept the class interesting, and I was rarely bored. The tests are fair, and the project he assigned was not too bad. He made Insurrance fun and inresting, and I would reccomend anybody interested take his class.Rate My Professors ↗

Insurance material can obviously be pretty dry at times, but it is what it is. Dry sense of humor that he occasionally injects into lectures to keep you awake at least. Very knowledgeable and helpful when you ask a question in class. Quizzes are graded pretty harshly and the exams aren't fun either. Group project is a breeze.
