I learned SO much in his class. I think everyone writing the bad reviews just didn't understand his teaching philosophy/didn't want to do the work required to get anything meaningful out of it. He is very intelligent and sometimes has a hard time communicating what he means. The class is easy, the textbook is fascinating. Recommend! HIGHLY!! :)Rate My Professors ↗

Professor Koranda was the absolute worst teacher I've ever had. He expects you to know everything and treats students as if we are grad students. He lectures at you instead of teaching you. He does NOT share his lecture slides and you CANNOT miss any classes or you will be lost and so far behind. Your entire grade is based on extremely hard exams.Rate My Professors ↗

He seems like a great guy and is funny and kind but his lectures are very all over the place and I have a hard time following along honestly. If you want to do well on exams, make sure you read the textbook and know everything on the study guide. Weekly assignments are easy but the exams are tough (multiple choice and essay questions)Rate My Professors ↗

I think Mark is the worst professor I have had while at UW. His lectures are so scattered, he often has to backtrack and rephrase his own ideas, and he contradicts the information in the textbook. Lectures are either exactly what the textbook say or completely unrelated. His exams are much more in depth than what was covered in lecture. DO NOT TAKERate My Professors ↗

He was clearly not prepared for the class (this was the first class he taught). He gave us the syllabus, even gave us a test on it, and then changed the assigned readings a million times just days before they were due. He is very self-absorbed, and goes on tangents during his lectures. His introduction video was the weirdest thing I've ever seen.Rate My Professors ↗

Hands down the worst lecturer I have ever had. His slides have maybe three words and them and he is all over the place when speaking. Lots of reading that you have to do in order to understand anything. Take any other psych course as this focuses more on things like linguistic than actual psychology.Rate My Professors ↗
