I absolutely adore Marissa. You can tell she genuinely loves her job and wants you to succeed. I wont lie, this class kicked my butt, but I didn't utilize office hours because I was nervous. Marissa is so intelligent, organized, and really funny. Other than a really strict absence policy I have no complaints about her as a professor or person.

Marissa is fantastic!! Kind & encouraging during class, accessible outside lecture, and invested in each individual student. Lots of vocab, but with a little studying you'll be fine on the weekly quizzes (which she grades very nicely). You can tell she is very knowledgeable and loves what she's teaching. Fyi, only 3 absences allowed.
