In lecture, he did a ton of proofs and a few examples, but he rarely did anything close to the stuff on the exams. To do well on the exams, you needed to be able to *really* apply the concepts. Textbook was OK, but mostly unrelated to exams. This course prerequires only Calc 1; I took 2 and 3, and I still only got a B in 240.Rate My Professors ↗

You can't understand anything he says ever. He doesn't know how to talk loudly and has a really thick accent. Eventually I just stopped showing up because I found wikipedia more helpful. The class was easy enough though. This class does a good job at weeding out people who want to do CS but are bad at math.Rate My Professors ↗

Speaks too quietly to understand, his handwriting is illegible, and he consistently ignores questions. His course website is riddled with MAJOR inconsistencies (his own name is misspelled). The textbook, lectures, and homework are completely unrelated. The exam hints he gave were misleading at best. I have never learned less from a professor.Rate My Professors ↗

True. Math 240 is not easy class. I know. But this class was something that cannot be described by easy or hard. You have to know basic math very well or you will get C or lower. Honestly, homework, exam, and lecture have no relations. Even you read and solve questions from book, you may not be able to solve exams questions. Nothing can help you.Rate My Professors ↗

Avoid this professor at all costs. What he teaches us in lecture is nowhere near the homework or tests. He's a very knowledgeable and funny man, but his teaching style is nonexistent. I'll be lucky if I finish this course with a C.Rate My Professors ↗

Agree with all said below. I practically live in a TA's office and it's easy to pick up that he doesn't agree with teaching methods of Flores. After receiving my test and scanning the questions I reverted to the front page to double-check that it was for our course.Rate My Professors ↗
