Professor Everett cares a lot about the wellbeing of her students. If you do poorly on an exam or homework, you can go talk to her and she will let you redo hw or an exam problem. Very willing to give partial credit when grading a well. Lectures are derivation heavy, and the home works take ages. Still, a great teacher for this difficult material.

Made it her personal mission to take us through the entirety of Griffiths' Electrodynamics in 1 semester. By far the hardest physics course I've ever taken, but grading is very generous (partial credit for explaining where your solution might have gone wrong, writing down relevant equation even if you don't plug in, etc.)

She likes to call her students crazy lol and creeps on them in her spare time.

I like that she calls herself Zangmo Sherab aka Sherab Zangmo (Carlo "whatever last name fit here" for short)! Take the class, it's a good time! :P lol

At times she can be kind of fun in class. She does brilliant impersonations of our Chairman Mark Erickson and Carlo Rubi. My favorite of course is when she pulls off Lawrence Erickson because of the modeling. She makes it look so easy! Take really good notes in class.

Sometimes coteaches with Isobel Ojalvo and Leslie Smith. Demos for physics are occasionally done through multiple facebook accounts due to demand. I highly recommend Leslie Smith because she is very helpful and clear on how to perform the experiments and learn concepts. Mostly an aggressive teaching style. I learned a lot in this class, very useful

She was OK. She stands in the corner and reads off of a power point slide or scrolls through facebook. She likes making fake facebook accounts of cats. Weird. Obsessed with laser pointers.

She's a fantastic graduate level professor. She makes the tests difficult, but will work very hard to make sure the class is prepared for it. The only complaint is that lectures run long enough such that there is no real time for questions during the lecture, so get into the habit of setting up office hours with her.

Must take great physics class at UW Madison.

In class tests are long and hard. Her lecture notes are helpful though.

Lisa is one of the best profs in the physics department. She expects hard work but is organized and clear, and very willing to help students out of class. She is very encouraging when she knows you are trying. Just a wonderful person to have as a prof and in the department. She's happy to give advice years after completing her course.

Three hard in class midterms each with three questions. Homework every week, each with about 8 problems, and the grader is meticulous with neatness and points are often taken off mysteriously.

Lisa is one of the most amazing professors at UW. Not only is she an inspiring lecturer, she also is a genuinely good human being. She makes every effort to reach out to students and help them. Extremely approachable, extremely friendly, extremely smart...

She may not be the greatest lecturer but her insight and help in office hours is invaluable. Extremely nice and easy to approach, she is willing to talk you through concepts until you understand them. She is a theorist, so she emphasizes concepts as a means to solve problems. Her class was very rewarding and enlightening

Lectures were somewhat boring; seemed kind of nervous in front of us. However, she more than made up for this during office hours. Seemed genuinely willing to help us. Nervousness gone in person. Memorized our names! Very nice. Overall probably the best physics prof I've had yet.

Worthless. Generally awful at teaching, avoid her even though she coteachs with better profs. Too skittish to do demos in front of the class, they terrify her.

Boring lectures. She seems uncomfortable in front of the class, though I am not sure if standing rigid as a board with one hand to her side at all times is uncomfortable for her. Maybe she feels relaxed. But she is interested in the subject.

I had her for both 201 and 202. She did a better job this time around, but she still is intimidated by the class. She is very boring and spends a lot of time doing abstract concepts that you don't need to know. I didn't mind her because at least you knew what you were getting and she was very consistent.

Overall, not a very good professor. Lecture wasn't a very good use of time, too much abstract information that didn't help on exams. Very boring lecturer... Come to think of it, this was my least favorite class I've taken yet (and I'm in engineering so it isn't like physics scares me)

Extremely boring. Spends the whole time doing proofs on a powerpoint, which you will not understand nor will you ever see it on an exam. Study the book and any old exams, bring a crossword or a pillow to lectures. She IS very helpful during office hours.

BORING! She won't do any demos becuase they scare her too much. She just stands in the corner and reads off of a power point slide while pointing at it with a laser pointer. She will go over abstract concepts, but nothing that ever hels on anything. She also has no control over the class. Kids talk and even throw airplanes at he sometimes.
