Posey-Maddox was one of the most understanding and caring professors that I have ever met. She made sure that I was prioritizing my mental health while also doing well in class. Very reading heavy (40+ pgs a week), gives good essay feedback, participation is one of the most important things. Also offers extra credit.
Overall, a great teacher who actually cares about your well-being. The course itself has a ton of readings so be prepare for that since all discussions in class are related to the readings she assigns you to do for that week. In total, there are three major papers that impacts your grade in the class and some short assignments on the way as well.
Professor Posey-Maddox is INCREDIBLY kind. Genuinely cares about you as a person. She is always checking in and making sure you are doing good. There is a lot of readings for this class, but are necessary for discussions and the three big projects you complete throughout the semester. Best and most informative class I ever took.
Definitely one of my favorite professors because it is clear she cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Definitely a lot of reading but on interesting topics so isn't too bad.
Dr. Posey-Maddox is a very sweet & kind professor who genuinely want you to succeed :) Wallace is an amazing TA too! Would highly recommend ED POL 200, just be prepared to do lots of reading and group discussion. It's intensive but insightful.
This class is really balanced and interesting. Dr. PM is great!
Pretty basic teacher. Assigns a lot of reading. Makes her TA do everything. Overall pretty nice but she called me a out a couple times.
Really Really thoughtful learning going on. However, warning to those who won't do the readings, THERE ARE LOTS OF READINGS! About 45ish page per day you have lecture. However she's an easy grader :)
