MATH 171: Leah is a nice person and pretty helpful if you go to office hours but her lectures are basically useless. The PDFs she provides are organized at least but she just does the math without really explaining anything. MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT REGRADE REQUESTS. I didn't until the final but I was able to raise my grade by a letter just from that.

MATH 171: I would not recommended this professor. The tests are worth 84% of your grade, and the lectures are hardly helpful. \If you can get any other professor, try to do so. I will say that she was kind and accessible out of class, I just wish that the lectures weren't such a waste of time.

I had Leah for Math 171. She genuinely has no idea how to teach. There was never a time in lecture where she didn't messed up simple calculations and wouldn't have to be corrected by her students. She was rude to her students at times and would make remarks when we would ask her questions. Good luck with her as her tests are 84% of your grade.

Professor Leah is an ineffective teacher. I took math 171 and struggled the entire time. Her lectures were extremely hard to follow and most of the time it sounded like she had no idea what she was teaching. Oftentimes students in the class had to correct her because she would skip a step or not calculate correctly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LEAH

I had Leah for Math 171. MATH 171 was very challenging, it was all new material for me and I did not fully understand it even after attending office hours, tutoring, etc. Leah is a very caring and nice professor, but did not properly explain the material as expected. Khan Academy YouTube videos were my best help.

I had her for math 171. Leah is a nice person but not a good professor. Only reason I went to lecture was to note what I have to teach myself. She only made topics 10x more confusing and calc 1 shouldn't be that hard. if you have her make sure to go to office hours or watch youtube videos because tests are worth 84% of the grade. Good luck

or the final exam leah provided a study guide that was vague and did not prepare me after studying for 3 days straight. The exam was absolutely RIDICULOUS. This is the only exam I have ever taken where majority of the class stayed the entire 120 minutes and still most people did not finish.

Professor Rineck truly cares about her students. She never tried to trick us and her lectures were effective with good examples. She's very understanding when it comes to mental health, which is greatly appreciated as a stressed student. After my first math class at UW (211) I was scarred and nervous, but she made this class super easy.

This was for math 213 but she is honestly amazing!! Her tests are literally the study guide with different numbers and lectures were easy to follow and reflected the homework and quizzes well. She would also tell you what would be on the quizzes. You can tell she cares about people learning and not trying to trip you up. Would definitely recommend!

Leah is super nice, but not the best teacher. I passed this class by going to office hours and getting to know her. If she knows you she will help you. She tries to fit too much into her class and is always short on time. She is very kind and if she was a good teacher she would be perfect. If you try, you will be fine.

Leah is a nice person, as a professor she's fine. She will make mistakes but nobody's perfect. She might come off as rude every now and then, but honestly its students who are rude to her. She's very accommodating and will adjust deadlines. As long as you do your assignments you will be fine, not too difficult.
