The topics were very interesting but the exams were unfair in my opinion. You would study the pharmacokinetics and actions of drugs and think you have it down until you get asked "what percentage of prescribers overprescribe" on the exam... She was sweet but I would not recommend taking this course if you have other stem courses at the same time

Lara went at a good pace and her lectures were easy to follow. She'd basically tell you everything you need to know for the exams the day before. She is very helpful if you make sure to attend lecture.

You need to memorize all the material presented, no book needed. She, unlike other lecturers for the class, added in extra random things during her lectures that you would not know if you did not attend class.>:( I expected the class to be a lot easier for 2 cr, but I did well after putting in the effort to memorize all the drugs and interactions.

Where is she looking? Her eyes are always looking up and around. She seems anxious. Anyway, it's just a bunch of memorizing. I just study the day before and get hunnids. Good luck pharmacy students!

Gives a lot of information about drugs. Drugs. Drugs. Yes it is a class about drugs, but for 2 credits it becomes an arduous 50 minutes of random names and interactions shoved down your throat. Sure it's 2 credits of intermediate but 10/10 don't recommend. 4 exams of pure memorization and suffering.

The exams are very straightforward and, most importantly, the material is interesting. I disagree that you need to be a science major in order to receive an A.

Lara is friendly and lectures well However, do not take this class simply to fulfill gen ed requirements. Most students in the class seem to be science, if not pharmacy majors. Definitely not an easy A or an easy way to fulfill science credits. On the bright side, textbook is optional.

Must be a biology or chem major to easily ace this class without any effort. If you are not a science person, do not take for the easy A. It is an easy B though. You can do nothing all semester and study the night before for the test and pull off a B. GO to class though! They give you random answers that will on the test!

Why are these reviews so positive? She sits up there and reads her slides, and that's the ENTIRE course. Only 4 exams, but they are far too much memorizing of random garbage and trick/irrelevant questions. Plus, this course satisfies nearly nothing. It's 2cr of intermediate, and that's it, otherwise it's worthless. Take something useful instead.

Easy A! All of the test questions are from slides and a few come from lecture (so attend lecture!). The material was really interesting as well. No cum. final! You REALLY don't need the book.

This is the easiest two credit course you will ever take in your college academics, it's a nice GPA booster. The questions pretty much come directly from the slides, except for one or two, which she essentially pulls from her lectures to reward those that show up. Do not buy the textbook, you will not need it. She is an effective teacher.

Great prof. It may seem like she bombards you with information, but she is excellent at emphasizing the key concepts. Four exams, each 50 points, no cumulative final, and a chance at extra credit. The questions come directly from the slides, with half of them recycled from the practice exams. Easy A for science majors.

Easy class if you're interested in the material (drugs). There is sort of a lot of memorizing but if you like the material its not bad. So far on all of the exams the class average has been around 93-95% so if youre looking for an easy 2 credit class this is the one to take

She listed over 40 drugs in 5 lectures, and tells you to know all of them by name and function...ridiculous amount of useless memorizing in this class. Was hoping to take an interesting, easy class, but I HATED it. Wasted hours of flashcard memorizing drug names that are forgotten 5mins after the test. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS
