Pre-quarantine I found the course to be incredibly boring and not engaging. After, Professor Abramson essentially disappeared and stopped sending course material. She runs the course over email which is also quite bizarre. No canvas site. She also doesnt hold herself to deadlines AT ALL. Take a different capstone, the easy A isnt worth it.

An absolutely lovely person and professor. TAKE HER MOOD DISORDER CAPSTONE. Very doable workload, and no exams/tests! Grade is based on a (very low-pressure) 20 minute group discussion lead, and 2 papers that are (can't believe I'm saying this) a joy to write because of how interesting/fun/choose-your-own-adventure they are.

Professor Abramson is so incredibly nice and is passionate/knowledgable about mood disorders. Lectures are very long, but bearable. 2 papers and 1 discussion make up entire grade. Overall a good class to take, & I would recommend!

Easy class, but material and long lecturing can get dry. No tests just 2 take home essays and one presentation. Do not recommend taking when it is offered as a 2.5 hour classweek

Professor Abramson is kind and humorous. Her class is wonderful.We did not only learn the empirical studies of affective disorders, but also the history and philosophy of them.
