Professor Prost was always willing to help out when I lagged behind, and made sure to there was ample preparation time before each exam and the lab presentations. It was definitely a struggle taking 551 online, but Professor Prost made it a lot easier!

If you can take Dr. Prost for the seminar, I'd highly recommend it. She is very lax grader when it comes to grading student presentations. She is great for one-on-one work if you're struggling with a concept and provides lots of resources to help you understand the material if you fall behind (online lectures, prefabs, etc).

Lynn's great; the class is really geared towards getting your beak wet with basic bench science with common molecular biology techniques and lectures that offer some shallow biochemistry underpinning it. The lab is like the worst parts of Bio152 and Orgo put together, but the lecture and exams are easy. Presentation's annoying and 15% of the grade.

Blames students error on lab procedures that don't work out, not the most sterile and best technique. just zooms through lecture no time to even take notes. grading criteria isn't clear especially with lab reports. If you've worked in a lab before be prepared to be bored but at the same time do things VERY differently.
