This course is pretty hard considering the sheer amount of content, but Luke explains things very well for the most part. He goes above and beyond to create "fill in the blank" lecture notes for his students which is extremely helpful and saves time, and makes sure to give students many example problems which is also very helpful. Lectures/notes are very organized and he's great at explaining difficult concepts. He always responds to Piazza posts very quickly and offers many opportunities to get help. He was one of the best lecturers I have had here at UW-Madison. I was worried coming into what is usually a difficult class when taken with the math department into a manageable class. Professor Jeffreys seems to be a great person and his teaching matches that. He is really knowledgeable about this subject and his notes are a really great resource. The exams are worth a large percentage of your grade since it's a math class, but they accurately follow the lecture material and homework assignments, so there aren't any surprises.Rate My Professors ↗
