When Lucas lectures, it feels like you're talking with your older brother or best friend, except they are extremely knowledgeable and have decades of real world experience to tie into what you're learning. One of the best professors I have had--super nice, funny, and relatable. Always open to talking about class material or interesting research. Literally amazing. Cares about his work and his students very much. The lectures were very engaging and always felt like I was learning something new. One of the best professors I've ever had at Madison. Extremely respectful, caring, generous, and very knowledgeable and passionate about his teachings. Tests are really fair, and in general this class caused me about 0 stress in total, felt like I was going to lectures by choice to learn about an interesting topic. Professor Moore is super knowledgeable and happy to talk to students. He is very down to earth and conscious of his privilege. His class is clearly laid out, clear how he grades, and his lectures are recorded. (He uses the biopsychosocial approach to explain topics and has lots of videos he shows in class).
