Liina-Ly is a phenomenal instructor. I had her for SCANDST 111 (first semester Swedish) and I could not ask for a better introductory language teacher. That being said, there is a lot to be learned in this class, and it requires you to be present everyday or you will miss important things. I love Dr. Roos. She is one of the best professors I've had at UW. She is witty, intelligent, and she really cares about your success in her class. LOTS of films, so be prepared to watch movies outside of class.Rate My Professors ↗

Liina-Ly is the best professor I have had at college. She is extremely intelligent and well-spoken. Her course was well-structured, discussion was fruitful, and grading was fair. Easy to get an A, but still very engaging. She assigns a lot of films, as they are a special interest of hers. I remember more from this class than any others in college.Rate My Professors ↗
