Liam is an excellent TA. He answers as many questions as possible in discussion section and usually responds very quickly to emails if you have any questions about the topic or the homework. He explains the material in a way that is easy to understand, even if you have never taken a statistics class. I would highly recommend going to discussions.Rate My Professors ↗
Liam is a very relatable professor as he is not too far removed from his undergraduate studies. Naturally he is exceptionally intelligent and has the ability to answer questions regarding the material in ways that are easy to digest. Only downfall of Liam is he tends to mumble and can be monotoned so make sure to sit near the front.Rate My Professors ↗
Johnston is an OK professor. Lectures are pretty boring and non-essential considering he just writes notes on his outline; however, he does a good job of answering questions during lecture. Tests are pretty easy overall, homework is a decent load. Either go to lectures or read the textbook and the class is an easy A.Rate My Professors ↗
By far one of my favorite professors at UW! Love his lecture stylehe writes notes while he lectures and posts them online. He provides a lot of resources to ensure his students are successful. But most imporantly, hes also super approachable and caring!Rate My Professors ↗
Liam was good at teaching the material, although I wish he used a microphone. You get to make a note sheet for the exams, but they are pretty much useless because the difficulty of the exam material was much harder than what we covered in lecture. Feedback on errors was minimal. Exams were too long, many needed more time. Thank god for the curve.Rate My Professors ↗
Liam is knowledgable on the subject but just isn't a good professor. The lectures are very dry but the homework isn't too bad. The tests were extremely difficult - he literally picks the hardest examples from each homework/lecture. Don't take this class if you don't have to.Rate My Professors ↗
