Professor McClure is incredible, and very passionate about the subject. The exams weren't difficult if you did the readings and came to lecture, and important parts of the readings were gone over in lecture anyway. Such an interesting class!

Prof McClure is SO passionate about lectures, and makes the content engaging and easy to digest. If you do all the readings and attend class, you will do fine, but it is a lot of reading. She really wants you to do well and loves people who participate in class. You dont need to be a classics major but you need to do ur homework.

Because it is a literature class, there is a lot of reading. But, it is worth it to read and the books/literature is good. She has a clear goal for the class and she is caring. She wants you to succeed. Go to lecture and read is all she asks.

Prof. McClure is so passionate about the material—I'd recommend her and this class to anyone. I loved the small seminar format, which allowed for engaging, critical discussions about interesting topics. Grading was fair, and the comprehensive study guides made me feel that if I put in the work, I'd do well on the exams. One of my favorite classes!

Professor McClure is so kind and a great lecturer. She does great recaps of the reading so even if you didn't read/ didn't read very in depth, if you go to lecture you'll do well. Only two small papers and exams were fair with her preparing you for the essays in class before. Enjoyable and easy class!
