Easiest class ever. No need to do homework, just read his notes and get an A on the exam. Lectures were boring.

Extremely caring and intelligent professor. He truly wants you to succeed. Exams are extremely difficult. Don't take this class with other hard classes at the same time. You will spend way too much time studying for finance.

Greatest professor I have ever had/most likely will ever have.

Best Professor I ever had in Madison. Coach K is both a professor and a life director. Though the class is hard, I learned a lot from it. But he is no longer going to be in Madison, so sad...

Hard! tests wildly outstrip what he teaches, making this class overly difficult. Though I kinda liked the class, I would highly recommend taking it with someone else so that you don't have to put so much time into it. If you do decide to take it, for the final, outline his various methods for accounting for risk and valuing debt equity of a firm.

Coach K is probably one the the hardest professors you will ever have at UW but also one of the best... He is very smart (and he knows it) and can be intimidating but he really just wants to challenge students to reach their potential. The exams are very hard but if you put in the work and put discussion questions on your notecard, you'll be fine

Best professors that I had on campus. Very very smart . He intimidates you at first, but you can tell he really cares. The exams are pretty tough but if you put enough time(which is a lot) then you will do fine.

Interesting professor, DIFFICULT class. To do well: write down notes about current events b/c he will announce them as if they were just interesting news but will test them. Sign up for the BLC b/c they give practice problems similar to his (one question was a direct copy). Learn how to manage your time for exams (even more than other Bschool class

Tough but great

Best Professor in the BSchool hands down! Considering that he previously taught at Wharton and Kellogg, you know he's intelligent. Tough class but worth it to get a great perspective on the financial world.

Probably the single best professor I have ever had. Very knowledgeable, very charismatic, very enthusiastic. Challenges students to reach beyond their limits. The material isn't awful, but the tests will push you very hard. Completely worth the hours studying to have Coach K as a professor.

a very charismatic professor who is extremely knowledgeable about finance. Lectures are interesting. attend them and take good notes if you want to succeed in this class. the content covered is not too hard but he makes exams extremely miserable.

Most of it has been said already. Very knowledgeable, material is by no means simple and exams can be brutal (even with note sheets and hours of studying), but you WILL have a solid understanding of finance at the end of this class. Wants everyone to understand, uses real-world examples to enhance clarity. Laziness will not help you out here.

The material is not that hard, but the professor makes it harder. He asks review problems before every lecture.

One of the BEST professor I ever had. Very clear in explaining materials. The modules are difficult but extremely important. Exams are quite challenging but you can get a B at least if you hit average. Strongly recommended to take his class.

I was terrified to take Finance at Madison but Professor K was great! He moves through lecture pretty quick but takes a lot of time to review and makes sure everyone understands. He ensures you pay attention by calling on random people in the class, but I found that helpful. Some online homework and tough exams but overall a great professor.

Brilliant guy! He knows his stuff. He always relates back to the real world which makes the lecture very updated. Going to the lecture will help a lot and do the problem sets in discussion session. Exams are not easy but if you study hard, you will be fine.

Definitely one of the smartest people you'll ever meet. He's intimidating at first, but if you show interest, effort, and initiative, he is very willing to help. Not easy, but with enough effort, anyone can get a B. You will learn everything you'll ever need to know about finance from Kenneth Kavajecz.
