Really good professor who makes things interesting. Personally, really like how the class is structured as its very well paced. The exams are also super nice because they are literally the last two homeworks with different numbers. Lecture slides are also very helpful in reviewing the material.

Professor Karu's lectures are fairly engaging and I enjoyed his class way more than I thought I would. But where he really excels is in explaining concepts in just the right amount of depth to fully understand them, without wasting time or making things confusing. So he's very knowledgeable, sure, but he's also just downright great at instruction.

No available lecture recordings for review. Slides are not updated for a long time and it contains lots of errors and typos. Lecture is boring but it seems to be the only way to learn. No additional practice before homework and exams, but homework only have one attempt. I think the course arrangement should really be refined.

Karu is an amazing prof. Lectures are very useful and uploads slide to canvas. He made the class very interesting and learned a lot. Also very easy to get an A in the class so you don't have to worry about your grade, just focus on learning. Exams were similar to homework, and there were extra credits at the end.

Karu took what otherwise would likely be a very dry course and turned it into one of my most favorite and interesting classes. He's very receptive about advice on the pacing of the class and always reviews and re-explains topics with the most perfect timing. Also really appreciated his sense of humor and how comfortable he is with his students!

Professor Karu's classes are lecture-heavy. But he makes recording available for everyone to review in case you miss out on anything during his lecture(s). He is really friendly and caring, he is willing to explain the concept to you in class if you dont get it. There are 8 homework, 4 projects, and 4 exams. 1 extra credit will be given at the end

Lectures just copy textbook content, even the same exact problems (I stopped going after a few weeks). Assignments are pretty easy, office hours are accessible, very clear grading criteria and offers Extra Credit. Exams are basically the same as homework problems which is nice

I enjoyed Karu's lectures for this class. He pops a joke ever so often and you can tell he is passionate about the material. He will go in-depth on a topic, which helps students understand the material more, but will preface the tangent with "you won't be tested on this." Found the class fascinating, homework aren't hard, tests are just like HW.

Prof Karu is a really good professor. It's clear that he is passionate about what he teaches and knows how to teach it in a way that most students will understand it. The exams in this course are also super easy if you put in the time to learn the material and do the homeworks because the exams are basically identical to the homeworks!!

Karu is very understanding and wants to help students. He has extended deadlines and has been very flexible during online classes from covid. He is very passionate and you can tell he knows a lot about the topic. My only problem is that sometimes the audio on his lecture cuts out as well as a disorganized webpage.
