Dr. Schloss created a welcoming and fun environment that encouraged curiosity and participation in class. Our lectures were structured with key questions to guide us when studying for exams and we also had the VR Brain as a studying resource. Exam 1 was difficult but it helped us prepare for the subsequent exams. The exam review trivia was great!

She's mainly a vision researcher, not professor. 1/2 of the content was the eye. 95% of your grade is exams. There are no resources to help prepare for exams except for watching back the lectures and reading the textbook. No previous exams/examples given, not curved, very tough. Class hadn't been taught in 5 years- you could tell. Don't take.

I like Karen, but sometimes she gets on a roll and speaks way too fast for anyone to actually keep up. She acknowledged this at the beginning of the semester but does not seem to be consciously aware of when she is doing it. First exam was a lot different/harder than she made it seem, but the others were easier once I knew what to expect.

I really enjoyed the material, but lectures can get long and very annoying. She moves quickly but posts the slides afterwards. To study for the exams, just go to the online textbook website and memorize the flashcards and you should be fine. She gives out free points for attending lecture. Cool class if you're fine teaching yourself

Professor Schloss has a very quick pace and has quirky mannerisms, but I consider these her only flaws in this course. The content is incredibly interesting, and she explains the materials well. The book is very important to read, so if students stay on top of those, they will succeed.

Talks incredibly fast, hard to understand. Poor professor in general. Graded on just a few things. Office hours unhelpful. Taught as if to push memorization over actual learning.
