Really kind and caring professor, clear and interesting lectures and easy to talk to. One criticism is that the class focused too much on history as a literature class imo, other than that she's great.

She's a great prof. LIT Trans 205 is very reading-heavy. but not a lot of homework or exams! The quizzes are not too hard. This class is great for a lit credit and I am learning a lot

Listening comprehension course. Grading not really based on learning that specific skill, but on how well you already know Russian. Lose points on 7-9 hr take-home exams for grammatical mistakes or phonetically correct transcriptions w/ wrong spelling, or on "pictures optional" presentations for not including pictures! Arbitrary and demotivating.

Professor Evans-Romaine came to class each day with a positive attitude, and made the class very enjoyable! I'm a STEM major and needed a CommB, and this class was a great choice, even though I had no prior experience with Russian Literature. EC is available on all quizzes/exams, and if you just show up and do the reading, you'll get an A!

Good lectures, gets a bit in the weeds sometimes. Books were interesting if you like literature

She's a really enthusiastic and energetic teacher! I had her at 955 am and she still found a way to capture my attention! She doesn't grade very hard and the tests are standard, she offers A LOT of help and is always willing to give more. She always has a smile on her face and that makes it more enjoyable to sit there for 50 minutes. HIGH recommend

Spend most of class time discussing readings and doing quizzes/tests, not enough time learning the language! Very harsh grader compared to previous courses. Avoid her if you can!
