Kohei seems like a nice guy but his lectures were a real struggle. I found they made the concepts much more confusing. He is very soft spoken with a very strong accent and just reads off the slides. I had trouble understanding him and it made it hard to be engaged in lecture. The tests were exactly like the old exams though, which saved me.Rate My Professors ↗
Genuinely just reads the slides. Content is not actually that difficult but his lectures make it confusing. Just save yourself the trouble and learn the content on your own before the exams. Content is not easy, but econometrics itself is by no means a simple topic. Exams are predictable, so I would say it's overall a fair game. Handouts will be really helpful for making mind maps. Prof.Yata is actually knowledgeable and can answers many questions which beyond our scope. Accessible and willing to help outside of class.Rate My Professors ↗
Slides were very helpful and usually had all the information you'd need to succeed in the class (once Kohei released the annotated version of slides, that is). I appreciated that he included modern economic research in the slides, it made the material more engaging. Practice exams were incredibly similar to the exams we received.
