He clearly has a passion for the subject which make the lecture bearable. He also has a generous curve on his exams. That being said at least one exam in the semester will destroy you, and everyone around you. He writes a lot of questions to trick you, take nothing at face value. He talks to students like kinder-gardeners. Wastes the majority of classes doing proofs that we do not need to know. First half of the class is very easy and then the second just destroys you. You can understand him but I don't recommend him at all, Porter is much better.Rate My Professors ↗
This class is not an overwhelmingly hard class. If you are good at math, then you'd be fine. He is EXTREMELY picky on the homework. He's kinda hard to follow in lectures because he jumps around a lot. He does have generous curve on exams though. Also, his humor is overrated.Rate My Professors ↗
Very funny professor. Lectures aren't mandatory but I'd go to them. Not very clear on what to study for tests so that part was difficult. The final was a little ridiculous - there were some concepts we never learned. Homework grading very picky. Otherwise, interesting class and professor. He's pretty hard to follow in lecture but he's a really nice guy and is happy to meet with students. Exams are curved nicely, and if you really know the book material you'll be fine. Most irritating part of the class was how critically the hw was graded. Maybe it was just my TA, but getting a 100% on a hw was basically impossible.Rate My Professors ↗
Good Professor. Two exams and one final. The first exam is "doubled curved" and the second exam has a pretty generous curve as well. The final, content wise, is very difficult, but is curved as well. Do the homework, and try to pay attention in lecture and you should be fine.Rate My Professors ↗
