George was my favorite of the three anthro100 professors. He actually engaged the class during lecture and would joke around. George was extremely helpful if you don't understand a topic, he even held a 2 hour review session before the exam. I would recommend reading Wisdom Sits in Places, you can see in the book what George teaches in lecture.Rate My Professors ↗

Great Professor, very easy and gives a lot of helpful examples. Review session was useful. You don't absolutely need to read Wisdom Sits in Places, chapter summaries were enough.Rate My Professors ↗

Material presented was boring and had no connection with itself. Capitalism, neo-liberalism, and random populations of natives in Sulawesi and New Guinea do not have much in common. Review session was great.Rate My Professors ↗

Had him for a fifteen person Anthro major course. He was a nice guy for sure, but class wasn't as engaging as I imagined it would be as I love cultural anthropology. My dislike for the class wasn't entirely his fault tho--some enrolled in the class weren't fond of showers.Rate My Professors ↗

Semi-Interesting lectures if you're into anthropology. Exam is very fair and easy. Reading the Reindeer people was a waste of time.Rate My Professors ↗

Professor George was alright. Reading The Reindeer People was a waste of my time, though. Also, he says "uh" and "um" approx. every third word. But if you can get past that, lectures are semi-interesting...Rate My Professors ↗
