Honestly Prof. Miles is a great person, super nice, and makes lecture very enjoyable, but I've found now going into Chem 345 that the questions are more advanced in the way they are worded then on Miles exams. Prof. Miles makes Ochem easily understood by giving these questions in a very simple way, but this may be a set back from other classes.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. Miles was an AMAZING professor who truly cared about every one of her students. She taught the WHY behind ochem instead of "just memorize this." She is generous with her office hours and I highly recommend attending at least once or twice a week if you want to succeed. Her tests are exactly like her practice exams. She is very nice and lighthearted person, but was not very focused on teaching chemistry. All lecture material was pre class work, so it made it hard to ask questions when you were confused. She often spent class time singing, talking about her cats or looking at memes rather than doing chemistry. Nice person, but unfocused and not serious.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Miles was truly an awesome teacher and person. She has online pre lecture which teach the material very clearly and tell you what you need to know. Dr. Miles also was the first teacher who was capable of realizing we have other classes and life outside of school and truly cares about how the students are doing. Ochem is a very difficult course, but she makes it as simple as she can. She has a great spirit and is very understanding. As tedious as it might sound, watch all her lecture videos and write down everything that she writes. It is essential to go back and understand it because that is where she derives the questions on her exams from.Rate My Professors ↗
