Doesnt really tell you what you need to know before starting an assignment and then grades really hard when you dont do things the exact way she wants them done even though she didnt even tell you exactly how she wants it done.

I can't pass the class with a good grade or even fail if you have more than three absence. And lecture and studio both count!! Every three class missed is one letter grade down. She did not explain this clearly in the syllabus and even her TA do not know this policy. Mean and tough. Don't take her class unless you major in design had have to.

Boring lectures. If you skip 3 times, it's one letter grade down. No one gets an A. Open book exams. exams are worded weirdly. projects are pricey. Jung-Hye is unorganized. no clear expectations of projects. You will do good if you go to class, and studio. quizzes online. quizzes are on readings. easy quizzes.

You need to go to class because your grade depends on it. Totally not necessary to do the readings. All tests are open book.

Jung-Hye was a nice professor. She was always prepared for class and definitely knows her stuff. She likes to give feedback and her projects were fun. However, her lectures were a bore. I would fall asleep constantly looking at too easy of material on slides. Then all of a sudden the exams would take this easy material and overcomplicate it.

It's a fun class, but the projects take forever. They also start to get very expensive. I enjoyed the class, but wish it was a little cheaper and a little less time consuming. I would not suggest buying the prearranged art bag, as you don't need all the materials in it

Her lectures successfully lulled me to sleep almost every time. Expect to get an AB/high B in the class. Those are the only grades they give out. Projects reminded me of middle school art projects and don't follow the lecture. Don't expect to get a single bit of useful or interesting information out of the class if you are not an art major.

Good Professor. Long, kind of boring power point lectures. Projects are fun and interesting. Go to class and you will get an A on exams. She clearly states in class what will be on exams. Posts power points online. Offers extra credit.

I liked her as a professor. If you go to lecture its really easy to do well on the tests, you just have to review the slide shows. Make sure you attend the lab every week because the projects are weighted heavely but they are fun projects that i really enjoyed

She is a great conceptual teacher & covers a broad range, she is not as hard to understand as people think, & even asks students if they are understanding what she is saying. Projects in the class are only hard if you expect not to put any time or effort into them (its college, not high school art) people in design majors shouldn't be surprised

far too much content in the course, much of it unnecessary making it much more complicated than it needed to be.

This class was really not that bad. I am an interior design student and found it helpful for many basic concepts. Dr. Shin can be hard to understand sometimes but if you work hard on your studio project, communicate with your TA, and study before exams you will receive the grade you deserve.

Don't take this class unless you have take it. Her lecture is unclear. Most of the time I don't understand what she is talking. You have to read the book if you want a good grade.

Prof Shin's english is not much a problem if you pay attention. I screwed the final because she decided to move the date ahead on a lecture which I got sick and absent. She didn't send out any email about the schedule adjustment, which really annoyed me.

This is a great class! Prof Shin does a good job of explaining what is need to know for the exams and goes out of her way to make sure concepts are fully covered. TA's were all great! Be sure to put the time into studio projects as they are a big part of the class. Overall great course!

She really should not be a teacher. She speaks very slowly but u can hardly hear her because she speaks like a mosquito.she jump around her power point notes in a very nasty way, even though you have like 100 sheets of notes she will finish in class.Do not take this class unless you are korean, otherwise, be prepared to get D.

Do not take this class unless if you love and are good at art. Lectures and exams aren't hard but studio and projects are graded on a bell curve. Prof Shin speaks full english but is hard to understand at times because she talks so quietly. She can be rude when asking questions and is sometimes disorganized in lecture
