Like any UW German professor, Larson is just as wonderful as the others. Super sweet and genuinely cared about her students. The class is fun and engaging if you participate. A decent amount of homework, yet, still easily manageable.

Julie is my fav professor at UW. She's incredibly kind and funny and clearly cares about her students' education. She will ensure you are always learning, but will never make you feel bad about your mistakes. The workload is very manageable. Along with that, she's super fun and class goes by fast. She often brings treats and plans fun lessons.

She is honestly the nicest professor I have met yet. She is really fun and in my opinion really good at teaching. I feel like I really grew in my German abilities in this class. I'm happy to have gotten to take this class with her.

Reasons why this prof is lit: 1.) ALWAYS gave us candy after quizzes 2.) told us we are welcome to come to her home whenever we need to (?) 3.) hooka 4.) On the last day we all sat in a circle and passed around a shoebox full of rocks that she hand-selected from the Great lakes. We each selected a rock to "remind you of the people in this class."

Really wonderful, sweet woman. Genuinely cares about her students, and very understanding if you're having a tough time.

Fantastic professor, always a fun class and she really cares about her students. Attendance is mandatory as is usual with most language classes at UW.

This was the best class I have taken at UW! Julie is soooo much fun and is a really good teacher too. You learn most of the material effortlessly in class. She really made the effort to treat us as equals and keep things fun for us. Take her for any class and it will be the best one you've taken, guaranteed.

Julie is the most caring, helpful, fun teacher I have ever had. She was like a mom away from home, and I looked forward to going to German 4 days a week. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure the rest of the class would agree with my opinions.

What a caring and very personable teacher! She was very helpful and definitely got great ideas in her students minds! Felt like a big sister!
