DO THE EXTRA CREDIT EARLY. Exams were horrid, only had application questions, so make sure you know the material front to back. The textbook was super boring and long. His lectures were ok. For me, it wasn't worth attending lecture even though I did so 90% of the time.

I didn't love this class, but Dr. Gallimore was a decent lecturer, and he offers up to 5% extra credit, so I can't complain too much. Despite this being my only 3-credit class this semester, I spent more time studying and doing work for this class than any other, attended every lecture, and still barely scraped by with an AB.

Overall would recommend. Very passionate about psych and cares about his students success both in and out of class. Exams are extremely easy if you attend lecture, he basically tells you what will be on them. Even if you do mid on exams, with extra credit you can still easily get an A. He does read directly from the slides, but I don't mind.

while he is very passionate about teaching, the exams are extremely difficult. he will say at the beginning of the semester that people and specific studies will not be on the test, and then continue to make the exams entirely that. if you haven't taken ap psych or aren't familiar with psychology, take it with someone else.

Great professor with lots of energy and personality but lecture slides are pretty useless and almost identical to textbook. Exams are hard, need to memorize pretty much everything you learn and exams are close together, cumulative final less than a week after 4th midterm. Extra credit bumps you up a whole grade if you complete it all , ex: AB to A

The class is interesting however the tests are really hard. Even if you go to lecture, do readings, etc the questions that are asked on the test are really specific. Also, the last unit test is right before finals week. So the cumulative final is 3 days following a unit test. This dropped my grade right before the end of the semester from an A.

he's not as bad as a lot of people are saying, but i agree that he can be condescending and unhelpful when answering questions. lots of extra credit opportunities, if you take good notes and pay attention to what he says to focus on for the exam during lecture, you'll do fine. its not an easy A but if you put in a bit of time you'll do well!

His lectures are basically him reading right off the slides. He says he wants to set you up for success but makes the exams way harder than they need to be. He also gives no proper study material or actually helpful homework. I would not take this class if you aren't a good test taker. There are other classes more worth you time than this one.

Lectures are impossible to keep up with, even if you type notes. Extra credit is really easy to get and super beneficial. Exams are hard for no reason, prepare to study. He wants his students to succeed but definitely makes the intro class harder than it needs to be.

Gallimore gets a bad rep from my peers and on this page, I attended his office hours and he seems like a genuinely great guy. Classes were not difficult and had to do studying before coming to class due to his 'flipped design' which helped me understand the topics even more. Highly recommend taking Psych210 with Gallimore.

Prof. Gallimore is a super funny guy but I found his lectures pretty useless. We wasted a ton of time on his "pauses." He just reads off the slides. His exam questions were super difficult and I found his class harder than it should have been. I like that he offers extra credit and it is pretty easy to earn.

I have studied for weeks for each exam and each time I get bad grades. He asks questions in such a specific and niche way that they are almost impossible to answer correctly sometimes even if you have studied a lot. Extra credit is nice and can bring your grade up, but it's useless when grades are bad because of really hard exam questions.

Gallimore balances a fine line between earnest and condescending, and more often than not, he comes across as belittling and patronizing. His class is an easy A (thanks to the extra credit) so long as you put in the bare minimum effort of studying. Take this for credit, show up for lectures occasionally, and do the extra credit for an A.

He can be very condescending and does care a lot about how his mad grades look (sometimes a little too much), but he is a great professor. I enjoy his flipped lecture style a lot, and it makes sense why he's considered one of the best stats professors, even if he's passive aggressive. You can heavily tell he's someone who wants to be respected

I had Dr.G for three courses during my four years as a Psych student and I enjoyed his teaching style, relatability and accessibility outside of class. He assigns a lot of work outside of class to help prepare you for class but not an abnormal amount for a college class. Not an easy A, but if you work hard you will be in the A/AB range.

Full of himself. Does not want you to get a bad grade because "it affects his mad grade average." There are exams every two weeks, worth 60% of your grade. The 4th exam is two days before the cumulative final. If you need psych 210 for your major, do it somewhere else and transfer the credit. I beg you. also too much homework.

Professor Gallimore is THE worst teacher I have ever had. He is so condescending, super unhelpful, doesn't prepare you correctly for the exams, and all the lectures are beyond pointless. If you need to take Psych 202, wait until there is a better teacher or change majors because he was truly unbearable.

Gallimore is incredibly rude and condescending. He has a very specific way of doing things and is not open to feedback or constructed criticism. He also consistently yells at his students, embarrassing them in front of large classes, over small errors or misunderstandings. I strongly recommend taking stats with another professor for your sanity.

Very rude and disrespectful I took his class last year and he would be condescending when answering simple questions. During his class he just read from the slides and would provide no useful insights. This year I walked into his class by mistake, and he yelled and me. Overall, a not helpful and rude guy.

Very rude!

He is very nice and provides resources for class. Gives extra credit. However, he's not a great lecturer and the tests are multiple choice. The questions are very interesting. You can still snatch a pretty easy A, though.

Good professor - his lectures can be dry, but doing the readings and practice questions will set you up for success. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for study prep!

He is condescending and is not willing to answer questions. Not enough resources to prepare for his tests as the questions are consistently unclear and many times asks about very specific things he says in lecture. The class is unnecessarily hard but if you put in the work to study and earn all 15 points of extra credit then you should be okay.

Gallimore is condescending and refuses to answer simple questions. Preparing for tests is impossible because the only practice questions you get are lousy kahoots which have been recycled every year. Test questions are ambiguous and unclear: could argue multiple correct answers. Overall such an awful class and so much harder than it should be.

Class is hard to follow. Many midterms and tons of things to recite.

Gallimore cares about his students and does as much as he can to help you get an A, even in a hard class. Countless opportunities outside class to earn 15 extra credit points thru surveys/experiments. In lecture, goes over powerpoint and tells u what's important for exam. Posts ALL lectures, lecture slides, and kahoots on Canvas which helps A LOT.

Very fast lecturer, do not only rely on lecture to learn or take notes on material, you cannot write all of the info down in time. Reading and comprehending (free)textbook readings is essential. Super caring professor, go to lecture and complete sona studies for extra credit. Lectures are engaging, do not take this as an "easy class" as it is not.

test questions are multiple choice w/ 5 answers. all application based scenario questions. tells you "this is on exam" but is only maybe one question. questions can be tricky and confusing

better off waiting to get a different professor for psych 202. Class is poorly structured and simply attending lectures & doing assignments is not enough to prepare for exams. expects you to read each chapter of the textbook before he goes over it in class, & will often test on subjects deep in the book & not covered or mentioned during lectures.

If you take 210 with Gallimore you'll get an A if you try. I understand the material. However he can be passive aggressive or downright condescending. Very dependent on his mood, sometimes he's caring. He has a flipped classroom setting where you do the majority of the work on your own. Unit exam is also 3 days before the final which sucks.

Gallimore was great! Most lectures, he just went over the readings so there wasn't anything super engaging about going to class, but he emphasized attendance even though it wasn't mandatory. Make sure you attend class so that you don't miss out on extra credit opportunities. Overall, his class was challenging enough but pretty surface level.

Dr. Gallimore was a great professor. However, I did not enjoy his lectures, as he continuously reviewed things from the textbook. If you are willing to pay attention to the textbook and study, there will be no need to attend lectures FYI - exams deal with application, so make sure to practice applying your knowledge.

Dr. G is rude and egotistical. His classes are super easy, but the amount of work he expects you to put in is crazy. He's incredibly prone to crash outs if things don't go his way. For an intro-level professor, he really cherry picks what he teaches, leaving out important concepts. If you want an easy A, take his class. Otherwise stay away.

He stepped in for our class a while ago, but he has been amazing compared to my other professor. Although he does go a bit fast through the lectures, he has slowed down now(you just have to tell him). Always open to answer a question during a lecture, and is very knowledgeable in the field, you can tell that he loves his job.

The class itself is easy. He's okay. Not much else to say. Lots of busy work (eg. writing multiple choice q's for each chapter). Read the textbook, maybe look at some of the videos he posts for the chapters because there will probably be 1-3 random test questions asking about very specific in-class things/vids

Dr. Gallimore is one of the best professors I have had since coming here. You can tell he really cares about his students and the subject he teaches. A bit fast when lecturing but if you follow along it's fine, he also records them in case you miss anything. Very little homework which is nice and lots of opportunity for extra credit! Love him! :)

Seems very knowledgable about the concepts and ideas of psychology but lectures quite fast and hard to keep up.

Dr. Gallimore is great! He is kind and understanding. The material in the lecture is presented clearly, and Dr. Gallimore does a great job ensuring students have many chances to practice and understand the content. There are occasional in-class opportunities for extra credit, but attendance is not mandatory. Overall, a great experience.

He is an amazing professor and gives you all the tools you need to get a good grade. As long as you go to class or watch the recordings of class you should do good. It is an easy class with little homework as long as you pay attention in class and participate in his activities.

A professor that genuinely cares about his students. By far the best professor I had this semester and feel fortunate I took this with him and not others in psych department. He gives extra credit and is always open to chat with students and make sure they are doing ok. Highly recommend!

He is condescending and arrogant. Seems power hungry and unnecessarily uses punishment In the form of changing grades. Fosters of poor learning environment. My love psychology was lost after taking his class. Hopefully it will return.

Overall, the class is straightforward if you do the work and study. However, I found the professor condescending and belittling. His communication was very passive aggressive. Additionally, he would consistently point out material in class saying it was going to be on the exam, but it never was. Exams often contained irrelevant details.

Dr. G is the GOAT! He truly cares for all of his students. This course moves at a fairly quick pace, so stay on top of the readings/review. He explicitly says many times throughout the semester "This will be on the exam!". There is enough extra credit to boost your grade 5% points, so it's very easily attainable to achieve an A if you work for it.

Gallimore was a great professor! If you attend lecture and pay attention, you will have an easy time doing well in this class.

I loved the class, and Gallimore did a great job of getting the information across. But the class was CONSTANT exams. We had 5 exams that were massive 70 MC questions. The questions were really bad/misleading. We simply covered too much content every two weeks and before exams. Not to mention, the last exam and final (cumulative) were back to back!

First of all: There are many oppurtunities for extra credit 1. Attending class gives you 5 extra points (50 max) 2. He litterally will give you awesomeness points (I got 50) Whole semester is foccussed on your paper. Do Well on every assignment=easier in the long run Use feedback from TA's and implement them. (Hard to fail the class)

Ended with 108% and I am not an over achieving student. No exams and used class time for help from him and TAs. Other friends took this class with different professors and hated their lives. If you want to pass this difficult class with a high grade you need to take it with him. He also is an easy professor to make connections with.

Best professor to take for Psych 225. Outlines everything needed to be done, makes things very easy for all students. Does not have exams for this class, so participation and completing assignments is important. Only uses class time to aid in completing assignments. Best option and best professor for this class 110%.

Extremely nice and passionate about subject. Offers extra credit for attendance and gives an additional 10 points extra credit for every student. My favorite Psychology professor. Highly recommend him over all other Psych professors.

Gallimore is both fun and caring. He wants his students to do well rather than struggle, although he can be kind of snippy at times. I genuinely don't think I would have passed this class without him as a prof. The class may seem difficult but as long as you truly do the work you should do very well, plus he offers quite a bit of extra credit.

You can get an A in any of his classes if you do all of the pre-lecture work. Lectures are kind of a waste of time (but extra credit sometimes), he basically reads the slides. All of the content is available in the module anyways. He can be stubborn and frankly rude at times. Shows interest in interacting with the students but can be egotistical.

Terrible course format. You basically do all the learning outside of class, then interact with the material in class through group work. If you actually do it the way he wants, you end up having to teach the material to people in the class who don't do the prep work. If you care about the content of the course and not just the grade, don't take.

I enjoyed having Dr. Gallimore as my Psych 210 professor this year. I have never been the best at math, but he offered lots of extra credit which helped me stay on track. Also, I had two unforeseen circumstances this year that forced me to miss two exams. He was so patient and kind about it, and was very accommodating, which I really appreciated.

No exams, just weekly online quizzes, labs, and one big paper. Attendance was extra credit. Posted lectures online and class was just discussion. He can be inflexible, and responds to some Piazza posts passive aggressively. The class was disorganized, and there were constant errors in rubrics and online quizzes that students pointed out.

A great, maybe the best, option of the current professors if you need qr/statistics credits. Super thoughtful, different but effective teaching style and he definitely cares about us understanding the concepts and terms without too much distracting information, Would definitely recommend.

Lectures are not really worth it, 95% of the time he just read the slides. It is definitely attainable to get an A with extra credit but you have to put in a fair amount of effort. What threw me off was his accusatory, borderline aggressiveness talking about questions we got wrong as a class or something. A little weird but didn't make or break it.

Galimore provides great examples that apply to concepts (examples will be questioned on midterms). Does a great job of teaching BUT failed to provide feedback for midterm 4 and the syllabus quiz is REALLY annoying for no reason.

Lectures aren't honestly very helpful but they are enjoyable to attend and sometimes you get extra credit from going. If you do practice questions and read the textbook you should be fine. Professor is very fun and tries to give a lot of opportunities to bring your grade up.

Mixed feelings on Gallimore. His tests were fair and easy to study for since he posts the slides for each chapter, which contain all the things to know for exams. His lectures are super pointless though (just playing games like kahoot the whole time). Just take good textbook notes and study hard for exams.

You have to teach yourself a lot in this class to do well. He does provide a lot of resources, which is nice, and a lot of extra credit which really helps because exams can be quite difficult. Definitely recommend, but be prepared to put in a LOT of work.

I would recommend taking this class with Professor Gallimore. I was nervous to take a statistics course because I heard bad things from friends about how hard they were but Professor Gallimore makes it very simple and understandable. There is a lot of extra credit to help boost your grade as well. Put in the work and you well get an easy A.

Accessible: scheduled office hours, piazza for general questions, available after class Extra credit: 5% curve with extra credit, easy to get especially if you do it early in the semester Grading: clear point system allows you to calculate your grade easily Great professor. Taking him again for sure. Friendly and engaging. Wants you to succeed.

I took intro stats for psych students with Prof. Gallimore and thought his teaching style made the topic super approachable (I'm not a math person)! I had to attend all the lectures to get the concepts, but I did not do many of the out-of-class readings and thought the workload was very reasonable. He was incredibly sweet and I highly recommend!

Easy class, final grade curved by about 7% if all extra credit was done. Gallimore was not very helpful with most material. Games were only played during lecture, and he even called out a student who was struggling on piazza. However, the TA, Spencer, was beyond amazing. Prepare to teach yourself all material until hell itself freezes over.

I did not learn much from this professor as he would not lecture or teach in class. I often felt like I wasn't sure what to study or review as he did not allow us to look over exams or review. I found he has quite a temper and was often rude to students who asked questions. I don't recommend taking this class with this professor.

Gallimore was a solid professor. Extra credit is huge in his class, as is the homework- both pad your grade considerably. The piazza incident the other reviews mention seems pretty consistent with his behavior, he can be condescending at times but is usually pretty helpful and accessible outside of class

Wasn't a bad class at all just had to teach yourself. That being said, the Piazza incident definitely gives his rating a big hit. Overall if you like teaching yourself it's an okay class but be prepared to do a LOT of outside class work.

He's an horrible professor, he doesn't know how to teach and uses very little technique when he "teaches". His class is just a memorization class, that can be passed if you have a photogenic memory. He's very unhelpful and confident about his information, which usually makes no sense. I think he should be re-evaluated as a human with a doctorates.

He constantly copied word for word from the PowerPoint. I doubt that he never prepares for the course content, and he does not even know some of the chapters well. Also, he does not teach anything during class, so do not expect to learn anything from his in-person lectures. Please avoid his class!

At first he was okay--he seemed like he cared and wanted us to succeed. The content was fairly digestible, but by the end, he basically gave up. Made us read research articles and provided "supplemental" videos that copied them word-for-word with nothing else. He literally banned me from Piazza for asking a question. Avoid this class at all costs.

Gallimore is okay. I don't really like the class structure. We have 4 parts of homework every couple of days (pretest, make questions, final question, and wrapper) which can feel very repetitive. The tests aren't hard, but the online lectures get really repetitive and dense for an easy test. Nice guy, but he structured the class inconveniently.

Professor Gallimore did his best to make statistics simple and digestible. He made it clear exactly what we need to know for exams and provided a lot of practice/resources to make sure we understand the material. Lots of opportunities for extra credit as well! He's a nice guy and the class is pretty easy if you put in the time and effort.

He just reads off the slides for lecture and seems like he barely knows the material himself, which made it really difficult to learn. He was also super unorganized and the material was so boring. Exams were fine and attendance was optional.

Everything else is true. You will be teaching yourself the content, as he only lectures for ten minutes in class and the rest is games or activities. The final is cumulative, worth 20%. He offers extra credit a lot and exams are okay, but his lecture videos are awfully boring & he makes you read research papers with little info. He's a nice guy tho

Would highly recommend NOT taking a class with Gallimore. He seems like a good researcher, but he really is not a teacher. I feel like most students can teach themselves the content MUCH more effectively themselves than by going to class. Wait until you can take this course with another professor.

Professor Gallimore is a fine guy, but he flies through actual material during lectures and we spend the majority of time playing games. I only go to lecture to note what he repeats in lectures from the videos (those topics are tested on in exams) and to get extra credit. Note-taking is mandatory to pass. Interesting class though.

Lectures r recorded, not mandatory. Flipped classroom, so ur not actually gaining any new information by going but it's good review and practice of concepts. Sometimes seems like he doesn't know the topics and just repeats the textbook during his lec videos. Exams are easy. Didn't really learn much from the course but hes a sweet guy. awesome hair

Great person, not a great professor. We mostly play Kahoot and other games in lecture, which don't help at all. Extra credit during lectures sometimes. You have to watch a lot of videos on your own. Lots of small homework assignments. 5 exams. A class that you pay for only to teach yourself.

He barely teaches anything during the lecture, you need to watch a lot of videos own your own and learn by yourself.

Gallimore's lectures prepare you well for the exams but it is worth it to look at the textbook too. He gave out extra credit for going to lecture a couple of times and is always willing to help

While lecture is not mandatory & lectures are recorded, he gives extra credit just for showing up sometimes. Lecture is not any more beneficial than just reading the textbook (he reads off it). Does not make exemptions (late assignments etc). Go to office hours to review midterms, helps for final. Staying on top of the work in this class helps.

5 exams including final but they are not weighted heavily (10%/). Clear expectations and doable class. Go to office hours to review previous exams because final is made of questions from previous exams. Strange personality (talks to his hair), and do not waste his time with questions already answered (or in syllabus), he will not be kind with those

He provided resources, detailed online lectures, and optional homework. The homework represents the test questions so MAKE SURE TO DO IT! Study and stay on top of the class, especially for 1st and 2nd tests; they get much harder. Bunch of opportunities for extra credit towards the end so don't worry too much if you're close to your wanted grade!

I thought Gallimore was a great psych professor. I had a power lecture and he would take breaks during it so we could "soak in" all the information. He is also clearly passionate about psych and is energetic. If you want to get an A read the textbook and go to lecture. I did these two things and found the exams relatively easy. Lots of EC too

Gallimore is caring but his lectures consist of him reading off slides. He explains things well but his exams are a bit tough. He is a great option for 202 but just do the homework and read the textbook and you can get an A. This class is not easy but if you put the work in you will get the results you want.

Amazing professor. I personally am not at all interested in the subject of Psychology but I still enjoyed taking his course. He kept you on track with weekly assignments and constantly reminded you of deadlines. His tests are average but are not heavy in the gradebook. There is no curve but the tests are only out of 30 points.

I am a psych major and Professor Gallimore managed to make me bored of it. The curriculum is interesting but it is hard to follow his lectures at times. He often goes on tangents and teaches more on things HE is interested in. He is also one of those professors who thinks you can dedicate all of your time to his class.

At the beginning of the semester he seems like a really cool teacher, do not be tricked by this facade. The lectures are worthless and he just goes over what is in textbook. There are four tests that are not curved and he makes every question a “trick question”. Even if you know the material you will still not get a perfect score. Terrible.

At first he seems like an amazing professor. Engaging, humorous, thorough. However, soon that is all a cover. He will make condescending comments about students during lecture and makes fun of the questions people ask. As a student with a disability, he also disregarded my accommodations that were provided by the school and continued to shame me.

We had our second midterm the second day we got back from spring break, and we had a chapter pretest due the same day as the midterm. That tells you how much he cares about his students. He also snaps at students sometimes, and is unpredictable.

Every "lecture" was doing group work. He randomly snaps at, makes fun of, criticizes, or calls out the mistakes of students loudly, in front of everyone. His mood is highly mercurial and unpredictable. He aggressively chastises students for asking for university-sanctioned and Covid-related accommodations.

Loved taking Pysch 202 with Dr.G! He is a great professor and his lectures were very encompassing and stimulating. Anyone who gave him a bad rating just didn't put any effort into the class. If you read the textbook and go to/watch the lectures, you'll get an A. The final was just questions repeated from previous exams.

The lectures were quite boring. Felt more like a high school class compared to college. As long as you memorize key terms you will do well in the class; do not need to show up to lectures.

Terrible teacher legitimately; never had lectures, made us self-teach all topics and tried to make up for it by holding 1 review session per midterm. His tests were extremely difficult and didn't curve the class. Was the worst class I've taken in my 2 years of college.

Dr. Gallimore is a little unconventional as an individual which is a little off putting at the start, but he really does care about his students and wants them to succeed. Take advantage of every extra credit opportunity and homework assignment possible to get as many easy points so they can act as a safety net for exams.

Definitely use all the chances for extra credit, I got the exact score on my final needed to get an A and it was nerve racking. Using it all will create a large grade cushion. The assignments are easy, but definitely actually read the book and attend lecture and it'll be an easy A.

Psych 202 is pure memorization. Gallimore is clear, fair and engaging. Use Quizlet like crazy and use the resources he provides and you'll be fine.

Dr Gallimore's lectures can seem to be a bit low in value (in regards to test-taking), but the real gold is in his office hours. He gives solid academic - AND life advice. 5 exams in a semester can seem like an overkill, but as long as you study the textbook and review each exam you are golden.

4 exams, each worth 10% of final grade, cumulative final worth 20%, homework worth 40% (Free 100%). Easy extra credit opportunities to raise your final grade by one whole category. Lectures are recorded in high quality so you do not have to attend in person. Read the textbook and watch lectures and you will be fine, taking notes is not needed.

Gallimore is very fair. 4 midterms and a final; each midterm is only worth 10% of grade. Homework is a large part of grade. Can earn 5% extra credit. Lecture is just all info from textbook so not mandatory, but randomly you get extra credit for attendance. The final (20%) is made up of all past exam questions so go to office hours to review them.
