Great class to learn data visualization in R.

Lectures are very boring. If you do the weekly readings, quizzes, case studies, etc. you will have enough understanding to do reasonably well on the exams. When he asks for class input just tell him what he wants to hear.

Grade was split between exams, weekly online reading quizzes, good/bad design examples, and weekly case study analyses. I did not enjoy having John as a professor at all. Thinks students learn one way and that his way is the right way. Made students buy his "beta version" book and then had students edit it for extra credit. Material was boring.

The best! Makes learning really interesting, and takes the student through the material at the right pace. Very interested in ensuring that the student engages in class and understands the materials. Expresses interest in translating the material to real world practical designs, and ensures the projects reflect that.

Prof. Lee is very interested in student progress and gives every student a chance to get an A. However, you will need to put in work to do so.

He is pretty nice, but the course is not curved and the level to get A is not really easy

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Makes material interesting, passionate about teaching and students succeeding. Also very smooth talker...Take him if you can
