It's hard to describe the reasons why, but after taking two classes with Joe, I get the all-around sense that he's a person worth aspiring to be. Class content is very broad and collaborative. The guest speakers in his classes are fantastic

Class was a little challenging but manageable. The lectures were so long and boring. He is a nice guy. The appraisal project was awful. Hopefully you are in a good group for the project, if not you will dread the class.

Type of guy to aim for 3rd place

Joe was knowledgeable and kind. He has experience in the field and knows what he is talking about. The appraisal project was disappointing because most people didn't fully understand what was going on until it all came together at the end. His lecture time is mostly used to discuss things other than the lecture material, which was very frustrating.

Joe is very enthusiastic about his material and is very knowledgeable too. At the beginning of the semester he said he doesn't care about your grades and you shouldn't either, so he disabled grade calculations. Very frustrating when you don't know your grade for the entire class. Lots of homework, projects, and did not lay off around exam time.

BOO. Boooooring. lame.

Joe is a really nice guy and extremely knowledgable about RE valuation. His lectures are pretty dry but you need to go to take his canvas quizzes. Between the group project and homework, the class is a surprising amount of work. That being said, he's more than happy to help you out. I highly recommend going to his office hours!

Joe is one of the most organized and structured professors I've had. Appraisal project is a lot of work, but he is always willing to help. Going to his office hours is always very helpful. He is an extremely nice guy, very knowledgeable about real estate, truly cares about his students and is focused on training real estate students for careers

Joe is a great guy and it one nice to have a professor with actual work experience instead of career academics for once. Lectures aren't very useful-he just reads the slides which are posted. Appraisal project will take lots of time, but set up appointments with him to get through it - he will help you as much as you need. Overall great guy.

Easy class. Lecture was only mandatory for once-a-week quizzes. If you are looking for a class to learn about his experiences developing Great Wolf Lodges, this is the class for you. He barely covered any course material in class because he would go on such long tangents. Great guy, but terrible at teaching. Thankfully, exams were a cake walk.

One of the best professors at this university. Weaves personal work experiences into the classroom learning to help motivate students! Tests are always short answer to prove you know what you are talking about, but you will because you will be paying attention in class :)

No Book. No HW. Very easy class, he tells good stories about work experience.

Good teacher, makes the class very enjoyable.

Joe is awesome and does a good job with his lecture slides. Class is important and there is a lot of material to cover, but between the slides and lectures it's manageable. Exams are straight forward and the appraisal project is well outlined.
