Classics Ancient Egypt. Nice guy, but tough grader and high expectations. Expects students to know more than necessary and nitpicky on details in tests. You can't learn all details from lectures/reading a textbook, it needs to be reinforced. I wish for more review/summaries. Don't want to worry about a class I'm only taking for my humanities credit

Prof. Hutton slays so hard. He's so passionate about Hebrew + the Bible, and it shows in everything he does. He's a phenomenal teacher who cares about his students and wants you to succeed. His class isn't a cakewalk, and it requires you to do a lot of reading. He for sure wants you to work hard and learn, but doesn't ask for the impossible.

I took a different class from his. Cannot recommend Hutton enough. Provides caring, thoughtful feedback and always engages the class during lectures. Didn't think I would enjoy this class but I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the curriculum.

Hutton is a total rock star. Always provides good, thorough feedback. He encourages outside the box thinking, new ideas, and learning from his students. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
