Professor Todorovic is a great professor and her lectures are very informative and engaging. Just make sure you come to class prepared and do the readings and you'll have an enjoyable time in her class. Her exams don't have any trick questions or surprises which is awesome.
Jelena is very invested in her students' success and offers plenty of opportunities to help you understand the material. Grades on participation in lecture/discussion. Cares about student well-being. Little to no out-of-class work. Tests on discussed materials contained in slides, which are confusing at times. Answers questions clearly.
Jelena is a joy to be around. She is a complete MASTER at Italian literature and she cares about her students. She can be hard to reach sometimes, but she always provides solid feedback on your writing assignments. I look forward to talking other courses with her in the future. Her Italian is beautiful and knows how to teach. Strongly recommended.
Overall Jelena is a good professor. Although her powerpoint presentations are all over the place and sometimes irrelevant, she does go into very good detail about the book content. You will read 3 books but they are very easy reads. Attendance is not mandatory but I would go to lecture to understand the chapters better.
She is the most passionate professor I have had, that's for sure. She teaches the material well but it's very easy to fall behind. Her lectures are kind of bland. The tests and paper were very undefined but not incredibly difficult. You have to know a little of everything or it can ruin your grade. Not the easiest pick for a lit class.
Criteria for assignments are very unclear
Very knowledgeable on everything Dante. Interesting class. Go to lecture and you will see everything you can expect to see on the exam. Couldn't pick a better lit class in my opinion.
she is the worst prof I have ever had. She will use powerpoint slides, but they are all over the place and jump around from topic to topic, then they go back to a previous topic. The most unorganized classes ever. She'll talk about things that relate nothing to the slide. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS
The material is pretty easy, the professor is absolutely clear in presenting it and really tries to connect with the students. I found that attending lecture is almost mandatory just because of the depth you get from her as a resource, but the amount of work required outside class is minimal.
