Dr. J was super sweet, and you could tell that she values making personal connections with her students! One frustrating aspect of the class is that we had three exams, each worth 29%... if you have one bad exam, it is pretty difficult to work yourself back up (this is standard for all calc professors:( )

Dr. J is a very good professor (and mathematician, I don't know). Her lectures are lively and fun, she likes to describe herself in the third person, and she likes to make little jokes. Math is boring and difficult for most people, but Dr. J really tries to make the points understandable and accessible to more people!

Dr. J is amazing. She is super friendly and will try to learn everyone's names in lectures. Her slides are organized and she teaches very clearly. Expectations are laid are well. There was even a slight curve at the end of the class which was nice. Do lots of practice problems and you will succeed! Highly recommend her!!!

She cares about her students, but the entire grade is basically based off of 2 midterms and 1 final exam. Exams were hard, and concepts are only covered once in lecture with no review.

Dr. J is the first person to ever make me not dread going to a math class. She is an incredible professor who cares a lot about her students, even getting to know most students' names. She makes lecture a safe place to ask questions, interesting, and dare I say fun. I would straight up defend her with my life, she's changed my whole mindset on math

Sets up concepts well so class has a good flow and really seems to care about students! Gives great resources for exams so it's not hard to succeed, but discussions can be pretty unhelpful depending on your TA. Grade is mostly based on 2 midterms and the final, so might not be a good fit if you struggle with test taking.

Dr. J is my favorite professor I've had so far! She's very funny and obviously cares about the material. Her teaching was very clear in lectures and she was very helpful during in class exercises. Take her class!!!!

I was not very talented in Math in high school but Dr. J lectures make me become interested in this major and I have become smarter than before. I can also feel her constant kindness and patience. Highly recommend her!

THE GOAT. She is the best lecturer I have ever had. She is an amazing person herself. Her lecture notes are amazingly set up. Her way of explaining things is wonderful. I do not have enough room on here to explain how amazing she was. She actually got to know her students by namel. All the other math professors need to learn how to teach from her.
