Professor Ahn was great. She answered questions very clearly and had interesting, understandable lectures. While there's a lot of homework, none of it was busy work and all of it further built on what we learned in class. I'm so excited to have her again next semester!

Professor Ahn was so much fun. She is clearly very knowledgeable and makes her lecture easy to follow. She uses Korean and English in her lectures so it is always easy to understand what is going on. She is also very easy to contact outside of class and was very understanding of me. I will be taking more classes with her for sure!

She is the best! The class is really fun if you are interested in learning Korean. The way she teach or the TAs is very helpful and understanding, you just have to put some effort for the quizzes which is based on the vocabulary you take during lecture. Overall, the class worth it. I would definitely take another class with Professor Ahn !

I love Professor Ahn! She's super caring, makes lectures interesting and engaging, and really listens to feedback. Korean can be pretty difficult, but Professor Ahn made it fun and easy to understand. I hope I can take another course with her again soon!

Professor Ahn is incredible! I enjoyed her lectures and she's always so kind and understanding! TAs were also awesome! Definitely should attend lectures as the notes are pretty important but as long as you attend lectures, discussions, do the homework assigned, and review your notes, you should be fine! Would take a course with her again!

An amazing Korean professor. Notes are well organized, and quizzes and tests aren't too difficult. Just put in some work to learn and you're set.

Professor Ahn is a wonderful teacher! She breaks down difficult grammer/vocab in interesting and easily digestable ways. Both TAs are very kind and helpful as well. Attendance is mandatory, but they're very understanding if something comes up. Don't take advantage of this though, as lectures are fast-paced and it's easy to get behind.

I found the class to be fairly difficult, but Professor Jaerin is very talented at helping you understand the content and it shows in her lectures! She always brings a bright bubbly energy to class and it never fails to make my day! Lectures are a little fast-paced sometimes but other than that no complaints! TA's are very knowledgable also :)

Professor Ahn is incredibly kind and willing to help her students succeed in any way possible. She is by far the best professor I've ever had on campus and I was glad that I got to take her class in both the Fall and Spring. The workload is definitely not too much and everything is very manageable. Highly recommend!

10/10. She is very kind and sweet! Only complaint is that the TA's and Instructor do not speak at natural / daily speaking pace. I get it is a introductory course, but for those who want accelerated learning, you will learn much faster self studying.

Professor Ahn is one of my favorite professors I've had; she's very sweet and cares a lot about her student's success. Grading is based upon several different factors, so if you have one rough test or quiz, it's pretty easy to make up for it and still get a good grade. Discussion attendance is mandatory, and you can only have a few absences.

Jaerin Ahn teaches introductory Korean (2020). She's sweet, straight forward, and gives that gentle nudge rather than a slap on the wrist when you make a mistake. Class work is simple, not much is expected in ASIALANG 105, in comparison to JP or FR. She gives lecture notes +++, speaks slowly + or - depending on what you want in a language class.
