Jacee is the sweetest professor I've ever had. She bought our 90-person lecture chocolates TWICE; once for her birthday, and once for finals. She knows every person's name in the 90-person class. If you're new to linguistics, this class is hard but interesting and rewarding. Based on a midterm, a final, and homework assignments that are graded.

Grade based on a few things. Choose your project partner wisely and make sure to attend class. Professor really knows her stuff and is a really kind, understanding person. The lectures are 50/50 on whether or not they're interesting. Study for the tests and know the articles. Overall, a decently easy grader.

Jacee is wonderful. She's intelligent and kind and extremely knowledgeable about her field of study (linguistics). She makes it very easy to learn, and fun too. I didn't do any of the readings for this class, and passed with over 100% by taking careful notes and paying attention in lecture. She offers a LOT of extra credit.

Such a knowledgeable, kind professor. Relaxed classroom atmosphere. Exams are not weighted too heavily and grading is fair. Topics are interesting. Jacee goes above and beyond to help her students. One of the best teachers I've had.

I'm not really sure what the point of this class is with Jacee teaching. class moves quickly and is pretty random and confusing, but every single example she uses is in the book. just copy them down EXACTLY and spit them out again on the exam and you'll slide by(class examples and exam q's are identical). at least she is sort of funny and nice

I honestly do not think she is knowledgeable about SLA. When students asked her questions other than what she specializes in, she cannot almost always give satisfactory answers. I thought students knew better than she does about SLA.

Jacee is the best, sweetest, kindest professor. She is very easy and helpful. She wants her students to do well, so she is very open and honest about what is expected of students. She gives them explicit guidelines, and as long as you follow them you will get an A.

Really easy grader! Class discussion is always really interesting and fun. Jacee knows a lot about he material she teaches and makes it really fun. This was my second class with her and I took it in part because she taught it. Easily one of my favorite professors at this university.
