One of the best of the best at UW, noteworthy for her ability to inspire listening and consequent production from majors and non-majors alike. Also a top intellectual figure in Media Studies in the 1990s and 2000s, who was able to extend her seminal work in one discipline by helping to build an entirely new (and overdue) department for the campus.Rate My Professors ↗
Julie is one of my favorite professors! Queer Film had such amazing content and we had such incredible class discussions. It made me a much more critical movie watcher. Julie was ultra kind and sweet. She really cares about her students and their comprehension of the material.
