Professor Vandenhombergh is a great teacher. The class is reasonably easy and the readings are pretty easy/light. Generally would recommend this class. The worst part is the required lectures but they are generally very entertaining and it is pretty easy to participate in themRate My Professors ↗
Technically attendance is required, but class is so much fun that you won't be bothered by it. The "textbook" is simple and the readings are short (and what we cover in class is basically the same). Jonathon was absolutely amazing. He is a young and fun instructor that really makes you think about the lecture material. The lectures had great discussions. There were a couple tests that weren't too bad and 2 large papers that definitely require some time and effort, but Jon gives great feedback and is always willing to help. Jon made philosophy interesting and made me want to learn more. His lectures were interesting and had room for lots of discussion. Everything was graded fairly and he gave back extensive feedback. 3 mini tests, 2 papers, 1 final paper and a weekly assignment. Readings were interesting and relevant. I loved Jon! He made the class so interesting and it was always something I looked forward to attending. He gave amazing feedback on every assignment and was constantly challanging you to think more.
