Jolanda is an excellent professor. She makes you engage with the class on a whole new level. She created the best classroom environment I have been in because she makes everyone comfortable speaking. It is a Lit class so you have to read but she chooses good texts so they're enjoyable.Rate My Professors ↗

I don't enjoy professors often, nut Prof. Taylor is one of the good ones. She is so passionate about Dutch culture, literature, and history; but what made her amazing is feeling human in her class. I felt more than a number like I usually do and I felt important. She's a wonderful professor who inspires interest even if you hate literature. 10/10Rate My Professors ↗

Jolanda was one of my favorite professors at UW. She is extremely passionate about the Dutch culture. There are weekly readings for this class, but they are all listed in the syllabus so you can get ahead. Come to class prepared as it is largely discussion-based and it is much more interesting if you can follow the conversation & participate!Rate My Professors ↗
