Dr. Gubner is a good teacher, I really appreciate his teaching and support. I don't agree with other comments..I think he always tried to help us has a better understanding to the knowledge. And he is a very nice person that helps me a lot. Thanks for it.Rate My Professors ↗
His lectures are really difficult to follow and he seems to lecture as if you already know the material and he is just reviewing it. 3 tricky exams of 4-5 questions determine 60% of your grade. That being said, he is highly knowledgeable, and curves well. I think most students got A or AB. The course is just needlessly stressful due to logistics.Rate My Professors ↗
The guy doesn't do anything. You will have to teach yourself the subject, and the exams are 75% of your grade. There is no partial credit, and your most likely going to get most of the questions wrong. If you take this class with John Gubner you will want to drop out the moment you step foot into class on day one. Best of luck.Rate My Professors ↗
FOR ECE 230 I took this class during the summer to get it out of the way. Even though it is extremely fast paced, the professor is really helpful. He responds very fast to homework questions via email and is flexible with appointments. He also holds virtual office hours all day the day before the exam.
