Very intelligent guy. He knows his stuff. Lectures are very interesting and I liked it a lot. More than willing to take questions and have a discussion with his students. His assigned readings matter so if you do them you'll do well. I didn't so I didn't do well but I still enjoyed his class. Exams are difficult. He doesn't give you a study guide.Rate My Professors ↗
Prof. Ahlquist takes a salient issue in the American psyche and asks you to think critically about the data. Coming from a poli sci background, I really enjoyed getting to look at inequality from a neutral position and then check in to see how the data affected my view of the world. One of my favorite professors. His lectures can get confusing because he uses a lot of math to explain but he will gladly slow down to re-explain things and take questions. Also very helpful in office hours. Read his textbook. One of the few professor where his readings are actually helpful. I was challenged but I feel I learned something new.Rate My Professors ↗
Good professor. Appears a little difficult to approach but very willing to talk during office hours or after class. Very clear expectations and well executed explanations of US Inequality.
