Joan is amazing. 100% take rmi 300 with her. I am not a business school student and she found a way to make this class fun and interesting when i absolutely am not interested in insurance but she was so sweet and funny too!Rate My Professors ↗

Joan is an awesome professor who sincerely cares about her students. Joan makes the lectures engaging, dynamic, and has lots of office hours for extra help. Her exams are straightforward and based on the lectures. All in all, TAKE JOAN!! She is an excellent professor, the topic is useful for all majors, and the class material is interesting!Rate My Professors ↗

i took this as an elective-wish i didnt. I showed up to every class and understood everything (or so i thought), I always got the lecture questions correct and 100s on every quiz and homework. But the exams were so hard and impossible to finish without bsing a few answers. Joan is fine, but i was expecting better bc of her ratingsRate My Professors ↗

Never gave a clear definition to a single vocab word. online exams were horrible, as we were given 75 mins for 15 short answer questions, so 5 min per question, but needed 3 mins to read and understand the question. Instead of giving answers to questions, TA and prof would respond with "we talked about this in lecture #14". Slides contained no info

"specific definitions are not important as long as you listen to what we talk about in class" Never posts slides. I never wanted to ask questions because she made me feel dumb when I didn't understand. Information in lectures made sense, but the exams were crazy hard... all short answer with multiple parts.. almost never finished.Rate My Professors ↗
