She's amazing and very passionate in what she does. She can relate many topics in class together, no matter what tangents we may go on in discussion. She also lets students explore various forms of writing, not just the standard 5-par. essay.","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1766081","quality_rating":5,"difficulty_rating":3},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:32:22.522103+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTIxNjk5MTAy","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1766081","instructor_name":"Jillian Sayre","course_label":"EN626","course_id":null,"course_uid":null,"review_date":"2013-05-07 18:01:12 +0000 UTC","comment":"I had Prof. Sayre this past fall. As an English major, I can safely say Prof. Sayre was one of the best professors I've had. Despite the fact that her class is difficult, she is wonderful at instructing in a small class environment. She is insightful and demands critical thinking of her students. Look into taking one of her classes!","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1766081","quality_rating":4,"difficulty_rating":4},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:32:22.522103+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTIxNTY0NzU3","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1766081","instructor_name":"Jillian Sayre","course_label":"ENG169","course_id":null,"course_uid":null,"review_date":"2013-04-19 06:51:14 +0000 UTC","comment":"Very strict with attendance. One minute late and you get docked points. No excuses. Lectures are mostly filled with pointless other details and she uses Prezi for her presentations which is very difficult to take notes from. Read the materials, keep track of the details of the books, and make sure you practice text analysis. Stay on her good side.","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1766081","quality_rating":3,"difficulty_rating":4},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:32:22.522103+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTIxMTg2MjMx","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1766081","instructor_name":"Jillian Sayre","course_label":"ENG217","course_id":null,"course_uid":null,"review_date":"2012-12-30 13:05:52 +0000 UTC","comment":"Lectures are NOT informational, hard to follow, a complete mess, she doesn't use powerpoint, but on top of that, she just reads off a script for 75 minutes. Always gave me a condescending attitude. Unnecessary mandatory attendance policy. Dropping my English major after going through this class and professor.
