DW is really great. They are very understanding about pretty much everything. No attendance, no expectation to give more than you can in a given day. Weekly readings with discussion forums/questions. No quizzes, no tests. One mid-term paper and one final project. Lots of small group discussions. Favorite GWS class I've taken here!Rate My Professors ↗

Dr. Waggoner is so awesome!! They are genuinely the most accommodating professor I have come across at UW, period. Their care for the topics at hand and students is clear and they create such a safe environment for important conversations! Dr. Waggoner creates a very open and accommodating environment for all students. Class is interesting with good discussions in person and online. They are quite funny and entertaining. I am so excited to take another class with them!Rate My Professors ↗
At first, they seemed accommodating and aware of student needs, but as the semester progresses I've felt a condescending vibe from them. Rubrics for projects/papers are VAGUE- I got an 80 on the midterm and idek why. I met with them for my final and they avoided my questions about meeting the requirements. Dr. Waggoner is very flexible and cares about your feelings however the class is set up very one sided and if you disagree with certain views you kind of feel like you cant speak out. She also grades super easy all semester but then will randomly crack down on certain papers or projects if you stray away what is normal in the class.Rate My Professors ↗
