Prof Loyd is a good professor. She's very knowledgeable and caring. I had to miss an exam, and she was more than willing to make accommodations for me. Her lectures could be a bit dry, but other than that, she's pretty good. Don't be scared out of taking her class.Rate My Professors ↗

As a stem major taking this class to fill my comm-b, I had no fun with this class. There were large assignments almost weekly, lectures were super busy with seemingly random information, and slides were never posted as an incentive to "show up to lecture". Very poor class structure, lots of work, and studying for exams was not easy. thumbs downRate My Professors ↗
The lectures could be hard to follow, slides/lecture notes were never posted, and the wording on terms could be very confusing. Overall made studying for final/midterm difficult. The lectures also felt unrelated to the assignments as the semester went on.Rate My Professors ↗
This class can be confusing, and there is a LOT of information, but it's not THAT bad. Lots of writing and a lot of content, take detailed notes during lectures.Rate My Professors ↗
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT TAKE A CLASS TAUGHT BY PROF. LOYD!!!! Lectures are mandatory, yet she rarely covers the assigned readings and instead goes on a rambling tangent about something random and unrelated. Lecture slides are NOT posted, which is crazy considering that this is an entry-level 101 class that is VERY lecture-heavy. Very disappointed.Rate My Professors ↗
Likely one of the worst classes I have taken here thus far. Topics do not relate to human geography whatsoever. The first two weeks were spent talking about surfing and skating, and then later we learned about how the bikini bathing suit was a cover for atomic bomb testing. 85% of the content is just absolute nonsense like this. I would avoid.Rate My Professors ↗
