Nice guy, but it was clear that this was his first time teaching his own class. He lectured way too quickly and didn't always make the lectures connect. A LOT of reading, that wasn't always pertinent. That being said, he was very helpful and enthusiastic. Jeff is a really fantastic professor. His lectures are always clearly outlines, and if you don't understand the readings, he's willing to discuss them with you. He can talk a bit fast sometimes, but if you ask him to slow down, he will. Really fun class. Be ready to work though. This guy knows his stuff.Rate My Professors ↗
This is a 3 credit, 200 class, yet Hobbs expects as much work as a seminar. The lectures are conducted in Warp speed, the readings are dense primary sources upwards of 100 pages a week. Not to mention the exams and papers deal extensively with the readings. The material is somewhat interesting, but workload makes this a truly detestable class.Rate My Professors ↗
