He is incredibly boring. Test are from lecture only, but must take very in deep notes. Wouldnt recommand him to anyone. Thought geography would be interested, but he wrecked the subject area for me.

he teaches about dirt and rocks, which makes you want to gouge your eyes out. the plus side is that you can see that he truly loves this subject, which does help. he did run over on class time and his test wasn't too easy, but he does curve. try to attend lect, as boring as it is, and then study off his class notes

This class is so boring, it's almost impossible to sit through a lecture. The tests are extremely hard (but they are curved). You should really avoid taking this class. Easily the worst class I've taken at UW.

Very boring lectures, unfair tests. He also consistently continued to lecture after time ran out, which was very annoying. Should be avoided.

Good professor, who knew the material. Not too boring, but interesting in that the pictures used in his powerpoints, he took himself.
