He totally makes the course, and the course is pretty fantastic. If you have any thoughts on banking, this course really helps you understand how banks work and what people in them are thinking. Very useful and great prof.

Take this as your finance elective. Very interesting and useful class. Prof Johannes's stories are relevant and connects his experiences in his career to the class. They are usually hilarious, which is always good. Always go to class and don't skip an exam, even though you have that option. Light workload. Top 3 professor at Madison.

Johannas is the man. Best professor I've ever had, and he's still working as a banker. His stories are awesome and keep everyone engaged and often times laughing. Take his classes.

Professor Johannes is by far the best professor I've ever had. Lectures are engaging and entertaining, and he does a fantastic job relating banking concepts to the real world. I was wary about being a banker at the beginning of the semester, but now, I couldn't be more excited. Definitely take a course with him if you can. You won't regret it.

Possibly my favorite business class to date. I never missed a lecture because they all felt worthwhile. Jim likes to tell stories and he and Bob are plenty entertaining all-around. Project is simple for the most part if you can follow directions; he spells it all out for you really. Exams were a little tricky, but he lets you use a formula sheet.
