Jack's a nice guy but his lectures weren't very helpful and rather disorganized. Too much difficulty for an elementary level class. I felt that we rushed through R and therefore many concepts/applications were unclear. This is the worst class and professor I have had in my 4 years at UW Madison. He is an awful lecturer and it is a low level class that expects difficult coding without any support. Avoid at all costs, no reason to put yourself through this misery.Rate My Professors ↗
Jack is a nice guy but his teaching method is less than ideal. No slides, nothing visual, just talks at you for 75 minutes and you just spend that whole time praying it will end. you have to go to lecture because there's not textbook. Jack was an awful lecturer. His style of teaching is standing in front of the class, reading from a piece of paper without any supplementary slides of any kind. At times, he wrote specific words or outlines of the lecture on the board but it depended on his mood. Easily one of the longest power lectures I've ever had to sit through.Rate My Professors ↗
